Advanced Composite Materials & Structural Repairs

Structural Rehabilitation Using Advanced Composites

Many of Scouten’s clients have opted to repair or rehabilitate existing primary structures versus demolishing and building new ones. When we’re contacted by clients, we search for appropriate options. We explain the benefits and drawbacks of each option and then assist our clients in selecting the best plan of action.

When our clients chose to upgrade and rehabilitate an existing structure we consider using Advanced Composite Materials (ACMs) in the repairs or strengthening. Scouten has direct experience in the use of carbon fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites to strengthen existing precast, prestressed concrete bridges, parking structures and other structures that are subjected to the harsh climates of northern regions.

Contact us to see if your existing structure can be upgraded and strengthened using ACMs.
