STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS

Scouten & Associates Engineering Ltd. offers structural design services for commercial, industrial and residential buildings in accordance with the current BC and Alberta Building Codes and governing building bylaws, including requirements for seismic restraints.

Structural configurations include wood framed, cast-in-place concrete, structural concrete block masonry and braced structural steel frames.

Industrial buildings include warehouses, process and bulk material storage enclosures and office facilities. In many cases, the design of industrial buildings is governed by the large forces generated by overhead cranes or heavy process equipment, such as ball mills or whole-log chippers, unique to the industrial setting.

Scouten & Associates Engineering Ltd. can provide additional building design services, including providing mechanical, electrical and geotechnical engineering recommendations, through the use of professional sub-consultants. In all cases, working and final building design drawings are prepared in the latest version of AutoCad™.
