Installation of High Tension Cable Barriers on Highways

Engineer of Record for installations of high tension cable barriers, which prevent vehicles from crossing into on-coming traffic or striking fixed objects.

Cables restrain the vehicle and the posts break away. Posts are reset after vehicle impacts.

Services include:

Review of manufacturer’s design and specifications
Preparation of drawings illustrating the plan geometry of the cable barrier system at end anchorages and emergency openings
On-going site inspections and field review
Final certification in compliance with the requirements of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
